The month of June saw us receive 29mm of rain, which was slightly below the average of 38mm. This brings the total for the year up to 353mm.

The 13th greenside bunker has received a makeover with exit and entry points being restored and new sand installed. We have also completed entry point works to bunkers at 6, 7, 14 and 16.

Herbicide has been applied to the fairways to help control poa and other unwanted broadleaf weeds.

Preparation has begun for some new tree planting behind the 9th and 11th greens with Banksia, Moonah and Casuarina being the prominent species.

Irrigation maintenance has been high on the agenda recently with repairs being undertaken on the 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 12th. This is to be expected for a system that is nearing 25 years old. Typically, as soils contract and expand fragile components are placed under greater pressure. We also find that the recycled water is harsher on mechanical and electrical parts like solenoids and valves.

Works on the agenda over the next month turn to finishing off the external landscaping and irrigation required to complete the new building extension.
